European Pharmacopoeia Method 2.2.44: Total Organic Carbon (TOC) Analysis for Pharmaceutical Water Using the Phoenix 8000 UV-Persulfate TOC Analyzer
European Pharmacopoeia (EP) Method 2.2.44, the equivalent of the US Pharmacopoeia monograph <643>, has created a new demand for analytically dependable low level TOC analysis. Consequently, an automated UV/ persulfate TOC analyzer has been developed to provide low detection limits, plus a true TOC measurement for standardization and validation.
In this study, the European Pharmacopoeia Method 2.2.44 System Suitability Test was performed using the Phoenix 8000® TOC Analyzer to demonstrate its long-term stability in analyzing pharmaceutical waters.
