Analytical
The software events and methods have been modified to increase sensitivity and accuracy for TOC, TC and TN methodologies over all ranges. In addition, Tekmar's applications laboratory has determined that 1-2% Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) acid should be used for the removal of Inorganic Carbon (IC) when using TOC/TN methods. Use of 20% phosphoric acid may yield decreased recovery on some nitrogen compounds if used with TOC/TN methods. The life of the corrosive scrubber should not be significantly impacted by this change. However, the corrosive scrubber (copper and tin granules) should continue to be checked for use on a daily basis. When the copper granules begin to dual in color and brightness, they should be replaced.

Note: All previous changes are included within the latest Release
- 4.5 Service Pack 3b (SP3(b)):
Pumper Module Communication Update
* This update slows the rate of query status requests from the pumper module in order to provide a wider safety margin for the pumper communication tolerance. This is helpful on newer pumpers.
- 4.5 Service Pack 2 (SP2):
Service Pack 2 Methods
* The Injection Volume on the cleaning procedure went from 0 to 0.5 ml. This eliminated a “divide by zero” error.
Service Pack 2 Events
* The furnace gas is now left on throughout the analysis. This helps to eliminate backpressure effect during bake line acquisition.
- 4.5 Service Pack 1 (SP1):
Method Editor
* The Method Editor would at times draw the incorrect version when the user selected to “View Previous Version”. This has been corrected.
* The rules that restricted users from entering certain values in a user method have been relaxed somewhat to allow the more flexibility.
* The Method Editor had some trouble when dealing with method names that were one character in length. This has been corrected.
Events 1.5
* The version of the Event data files has been updated to version 1.5. This latest change involves removing additional water when running the Condition Catalyst Method.
